The guides also give you all the 'tips of the trade' that you get to know by being a specialist retailer for 20 years. Customer feedback indicates that these guides are worth their weight in gold - but we provide them absolutely free of charge!

In this country, the traditional way of terminating speaker cable is to use 4mm banana plugs. However, this amp is sold all around the world and in some countries, such plugs would be dangerous, because they would fit straight into a mains socket. For this reason, manufactures discourage the use of 4mm plugs by 'bunging up' the speaker outlets on their amplifiers. This forces customers to use bare-wire, which increases the likelihood of short-circuits and is incredibly tedious, particularly if good quality (i.e. thick) speaker cable is being used. Many of our customers therefore request that we remove the amp bungs for them. Even though it can be tricky and time consuming, we are happy to offer this service totally free of charge. Just as well really, because (as people who have bought the amp elsewhere have found!) this is not something that some customers can do on their own.
Like all Home Cinema amps, this unit ideally needs at least two inches of free air space above it, in order to ventilate properly.
Music streaming via wire is far more reliable than via Wi-Fi. If you can't run an Ethernet cable from your router to this unit, then simply buy a pair of mains Ethernet extenders from Amazon for around £25. They plug into your mains sockets and use the mains wiring in your house as an Ethernet cable - they are brilliant!
Apple AirPlay allows the wireless streaming of music from an iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch to this unit, as long as this unit is connected to the router in your house.
Bluetooth only works reliably if both the sending and receiving units are in the same room.

One of the reasons these speakers are so brilliant, is that they are physically larger than some of the micro 'lifestyle' sub / sat packages - please check dimensions and make sure you are definitely happy with a speaker this size before purchasing.
The optional wall brackets for this system are excellent. They are relatively inexpensive, hold the speaker securely / almost flush with the wall, can be swivelled from side to side and tilted slightly up or down.
