Our
route from the M54/A49 (south) leads to the English Bridge, Thomas Telford's
masterpiece, which spans the River Severn and acts as Shrewsbury's "front
door". As you cross this lovely bridge, you will be approaching one
of Britain's best preserved hill-fort towns. Set in an elevated position,
almost completely surrounded by the wide banked Severn, and guarded
by a huge castle, Shrewsbury was almost impenetrable in the past. Thankfully,
things are very different these days - they've even laid on two car
parks immediately after the bridge! Park in one of these, and complete
your journey up "Wyle Cop" to Creative Audio on foot. As you do
so, you will pass another of Shrewsbury's landmarks - the world famous
Tanners wine shop. After visiting Creative Audio, if time (and money!)
permit, it's well worth popping into Tanners via their stunning Tudor
archway, and paying a visit to the wonderfully atmospheric Dickensian
cellars that have made them so famous.
Continuing our journey, it's on up Wyle Cop, past Tanners, taking a
right hand turn at the top of the hill (opposite the Lion Hotel) into
Dogpole. Carry on for about 100 yards and you'll find us in our "Church"
on the left hand side.

Shrewsbury's
magnificent Victorian Station is just a stone's throw from Creative
Audio. Simply turn left out of the station, walk up the hill past the
imposing castle, continue on past the library (where Darwin studied),
follow the road as it turns left by the Post Office, and you'll find
us about 400 yards down on the right hand side, just a few doors down
from Cromwell's wine bar (handy!).
