That's exactly right, the 715 normally costs £100 more than its baby brother,
because the 715's amplifier section is a much more sophisticated
(digital)
design than that found in the 515. As a result, it outputs
TWICE the 515's power. This means that the 715 sounds significantly
better with all types of music, will cope better with larger rooms and will drive
bigger speakers better than the 515. On top of
that, it doesn't lose any of the 515's (excellent) facilities. Our deal includes an Onkyo DS-A1x iPod dock which will charge your iPod, whilst it plays through the 715. The 715's remote control handset will then operate the iPod - very slick!
The 715 does a very convincing
job of emulating much more expensive equipment. This is one
