Well
that's exactly right, except the REASON it costs £100 more
is because its amplifier section is a much more sophisticated
(digital)
design than that found in the 515. As a result, it outputs
TWICE the 515's power. This means that the 715 sounds significantly
better, will cope better with larger rooms and will drive
bigger speakers better than its smaller brother. On top of
that, it doesn't lose any of the 515's (excellent) facilities, including full iPod connectivity. It's also available in a sexy black finish, too.
The 715 does a very convincing
job of emulating much more expensive equipment. Along with the NAD C715, this is one
of the very few 'one box' solutions we can confidently recommend
to customers who are used to the sound of a good 'full width'
separates system, but want to down-size.
