We were big fans of Mission's E82 Elegante system - in fact, I bought a set for myself! The 5.1 E82 was a wonderful mix of performance and style, but at £3500 a pop, it wasn't exactly cheap. The price reflected Mission's decision to clad the Elegantes in a lavish piano lacquer finish, which looked stunning, but didn't do anything for performance. In other words, if you produced a similar package clad in vinyl, you would have an excellent sounding system, at a much lower price. So that's what Mission have just done!

The E3 AV is based on Elegante E82, but features more up-to-date drivers and an improved remote control sub (very nice if you intend to site it out of the way, or if want to make quick armchair adjustments). Mission have then gilded the lilly by designing a clever optional wall bracket for the rear speakers, which makes them look like they're 'floating' on the wall. This is an ultra-stylish, great sounding system, that is well worth its RRP of £1500. Except that we're not charging £1500 for it, because our bulk buy special purchase means that we can now offer the complete E3 AV system for only £995 AND we're throwing in a QED cable pack worth £145 to make this offer absolutely irresistible!
